A Hatha yoga class with Rachel has an emphasis on the practical uses and benefits of a yogic practice to enhance your everyday life. Classes allow an exploration of the authentic self through the exploration of asana, pranayama, meditation and relaxation. Rachel has been teaching Hatha since 2003. She weaves together an eclectic knowledge of yoga traditions and styles including Buddhist and Taoist philosophies tailored to reconnect mind, body and soul.
Rachel is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher with an Advanced Diploma (Yoga Teaching) Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy (CAE) 1995.
She has studied with many teachers with her present influences Donna Farhi, Judith Hanson Lasater, and Dr.Richard Miller. Her teaching is informed by somatic awareness with teachings in Hanna Somatics with her teacher Martha Peterson.
